Start with the day you want

Before you count bedrooms, think about an ordinary Tuesday. Where would you have your morning coffee? Could you walk to something you enjoy? Would it be easy to see the people who matter to you? A home is more than its floor plan. It is the life you can build around it.

Bring your everyday questions

When you visit a place, take a short list. Ask about storage, visitors, pets, parking and the things included in the rent. Check how laundry works and where your favourite chair would go. The small, practical details can tell you more than a beautiful brochure.

Make room for your favourites

Moving does not have to mean starting from scratch. Keep the things that earn their place in your day, whether that is a big dining table, your books or the tools for a hobby. You get to decide what a simpler home looks like.

Take your time

Visit more than once if you can. Walk around the neighbourhood, bring someone whose judgement you trust, and ask the questions you forgot the first time. This is your next chapter. It should feel like yours.
