HelloGTA.com exists because the useful information about a region this size is scattered across six places and none of them are pleasant. A question that everyone is asking ends up in three separate group chats and four municipal subreddits. A truck for sale disappears under a hundred posts. A development that will change a whole street gets explained by rumour.

What this is

A curated regional site. We publish questions put to the GTA, the answers people give, guides to all twenty-nine municipalities in it, reporting on things being built, and a small number of classified listings. Everything is reviewed before it appears.

What this isn’t

It is not a message board, a community group, or a place to settle a dispute with a neighbour. Nothing posts automatically and there are no comment threads to moderate at midnight.

How it pays for itself

Local businesses, developers and event organisers buy a limited number of designed placements. They are labelled. Buying one does not affect what gets asked, what gets reported, or how a vote turns out. That’s set out in full in the rules.

Who runs it

A small operation in the Greater Toronto Area. If something here is wrong, say so and include a source. Corrections get published.
