Which mall is the region's real town square?
Half a joke. Yorkdale, Square One, Vaughan Mills and the Eaton Centre are where more of the region actually meets than any plaza a planner drew. Scarborough Town Centre and Upper Canada are about to become neighbourhoods.

Why we’re asking
The planners of this region spent decades trying to give the suburbs a centre, and the developers built one in the meantime with a parking lot around it.
The mall is where the 905 teenager goes on a Friday, where the new arrival buys a winter coat, where three generations of one family meet for lunch because it is the one place all of them can drive to. It is also, increasingly, where the housing goes: Oxford has broken ground on the first of some forty towers at Scarborough Town Centre, and Newmarket is planning a thirty-year neighbourhood around Upper Canada Mall as its anchor stores close.
So name it. Not the best mall, but the one that is most genuinely the town square of the people who live near it.
