Which fanbase is having the worst time?

There is a version of this question that runs itself every September, and then there is 2026, which has to be explained.

The Blue Jays played a seventh game of the World Series last October. On the first weekend of September they are 63 and 66 and fourth in their division. The Maple Leafs went 32-36-14, missed the playoffs, hired John Chayka as general manager, put Mats Sundin in the front office, hired Jim Hiller to coach, and won the lottery for the first overall pick, which they spent on Gavin McKenna. The Raptors, quietly, went 46-36 and finished fifth in the East, a year after parting with Masai Ujiri. Toronto FC and the Argonauts remain Toronto FC and the Argonauts.

And then there is the team that is not suffering at all: the Tempo, in their first WNBA season, drew 20,996 to a game in Montreal in July and broke the league’s regular-season attendance record.

Pick the fanbase with the least to look forward to. Sympathy is not required.
